for ways to keep our overheads down and service levels high. We do not attempt
to profit from the freight services we provide but strive to keep freight costs
down in order to strengthen Affordable Drivers' commitment to provide the right
products at the right price, with great service.
Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
Affordable Drivers offers the following shipping methods:

Deliveries can occur any time between 9am-5pm on weekdays. We cannot arrange or guarantee an exact delivery time because all couriers have different delivery routes which change daily. Tracking is available online for most courier companies and tracking numbers are sent by email when online orders are despatched. Please be advised of the following:
- No deliveries on Saturdays or Sundays
- We normally ship to P.O. Boxes, but reserve the right to ask for an alternative street address in some cases
- Affordable Drivers do not offer COD deliveries
- Internet orders placed before 1pm normally can be shipped out the same day provided the goods are in stock and payment has been cleared
- Affordable Drivers does not guarantee same day shipping
International Shipping
Affordable Drivers ships internationally. If you reside outside Australia please
contact us for a shipping quote.
Can I pickup my order?
Unfortunately, this is not possible; we do not offer a pickup option.
Affordable Drivers is an online only store and thus we cannot offer pickups or
cash sales.
How do I calculate delivery charges for my order?
Freight charges are automatically calculated from the weight and postcode to
be shipped to. The shipping weight will be automatically displayed. You can also click on 'Estimated Delivery Cost'
link on every product page which displays exactly the same rates as your
shopping cart.
Shipping Weight
All courier companies (including Australia Post) do not charge the parcel
solely by the actual weight but also its cubic size or dead weight (whichever is
greater). Cubic weight is calculated by measuring and multiplying the length,
height and width of the parcel. The result is then multiplied by the industry
standard cubic weight conversion factor of 250. For Example, a parcel measuring
50cm long (0.5m) x 30cm high (0.3m) and x 40cm wide (0.4m) is equal to 0.06
cubic metres. Multiplied by the conversion factor of 250, this gives a cubic
weight of 15kg (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.4 = 0.06 x 250 = 15kg). If the actual weight is
10kg, postage would then be assessed on the basis of 15kg. Therefore, shipping
costs may be higher for large, lighter weight items.
Packaging. Why was my order sent in multiple boxes when it could have all fit in
one?
Affordable Drivers packages items according to safety (for weight and size).
However, the most common reason multiple boxes are used is due to multiple
warehouse locations. If the items are stocked in different warehouses then
naturally they cannot be boxed together.
Are my goods insured when they ship?
For your peace of mind all orders sent are insured against loss and damage.
Receiving Damaged/Defective Items. Does Affordable Drivers pay for the return
shipping of defective items?
If you receive your package damaged, contact the carrier directly. All
shipped boxes have insurance so lost; missing or damaged packages should be
followed up with the carrier. It is unfortunate when an item received is defective. However, Affordable Drivers is not responsible for manufacturer
defects; we are not manufacturers. Nevertheless we do understand that this is
frustrating to our customers so we agree to split the shipping costs with our
customers. You the customer will pay for shipping to return the product back to
Affordable Drivers and we Affordable Drivers will pay for the shipping of the
replacement order back to you.
Why don’t I have a GST receipt/Tax Invoice?
Affordable Drivers is an
Australian Registered Business (ABN 20 475 790 303) which is
not registered for GST and so does not charge GST. Therefore, all
products/prices are currently GST exempt (you are not charged GST). Thus, you
receive a receipt acknowledging monies paid but not a GST receipt/Tax Invoice. Speak to your
tax accountant if
you require further information.
